Spencer Dinwiddie Agrees To Rejoin Mavs

Dinwiddie averaged 17.4 points per game across two half-seasons over two years during his previous stint with the Dallas Mavericks.

Free agent guard Spencer Dinwiddie has agreed on a deal to rejoin the Dallas Mavericks, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Mavs traded for Dinwiddie just prior to the NBA's 2021-2022 season's trade deadline in a package involving Kristaps Porzingis. During his time in Dallas, the now-31-year-old guard averaged 17.4 points per game across two half-seasons over two years.

He also played a key role during the Mavs' trip to the 2022 Western Conference Finals.

Dinwiddie was then traded to the Brooklyn Nets as part of the deal that brought Kyrie Irving to the Mavs just ahead of the following 2022-2023 season's trade deadline.

Last season ahead of the trade deadline, the Nets traded Dinwiddie to the Toronto Raptors, who waived him. He then signed with the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
